SafeLane's IEDD Training Courses
SafeLane understands the nature and risks associated with improvised explosive device disposal (IEDD) demands the highest training standards, maintenance of competencies, and specific safety considerations for all operators.
SafeLane ensures all qualifying IEDD operators are competent through rigorous summative assessments to guarantee a safe, effective and efficient IEDD operator who can respond to any assessed IED threat.
IEDD is a complex undertaking that requires specific skillsets and specific qualifications which should be appropriate to the assessed threat. Aspects of IEDD can be carried out at many levels – this is as a consequence of the nature of IEDs which are limited only by small number of factors, such as the ability and imagination of the person that made the device(s).

Assistant IEDD Operator (IEDD Level 2) Course
The level 2 qualification enables the holder to understand and critically evaluate the assessed threat and to supervise preparation of IEDD equipment and to apply remote or semi-remote actions designed to locate IEDs.
Basic IEDD Operator (IEDD Level 3) Course
Level 3 (IEDD) qualifications enables holders to conduct render-safe procedures and final disposal of IEDs in a permissive environment.
