Mine action projects in Kurdistan Region of Iraq
SafeLane Global has been operational in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq since 2009, primarily supporting the oil and gas sector.
SafeLane Global has been delivering mine action projects and related activities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) since 2009.
Services provided range from consultancy, explosive remnants of war (ERW) clearance, safeguarding and battle area clearance (BAC) supporting seismic survey tasks - to the provision of explosive detection dog (EDD) teams.
More recently it has also provided technical training to the local police authorities to build up their capacity of suitably skilled personnel. In addition, training has been provided to help develop a network of local personnel to support future projects in improvised explosive device defeat (IEDD).
Over the past 9 years, SafeLane Global has also deployed a large canine programme to support its EDD and patrol dog teams on multiple security contracts across KRI.
SafeLange Global is legally registered with the Kurdistan Ministry of Trade (as Dynasafe MineTech) for mine clearance, explosive ordnance disposal, explosive detection dogs and patrol dogs.
It also hold accreditation with the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA), is registered with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) to provide mine clearance services in the region.
Operations in KRI and South Iraq are supported and managed by SafeLane Global's regional manager who is based in Erbil. He provides daily support to all projects. This allows the company to maintain contact with all clients and personnel on projects.
The regional manager also acts as the main focal point and contact to existing and prospective clients in the region, and at the same time provides the oversight and coordination to ensure the company's accreditations, registrations and QHSE system remains current, effective and compliant at all times.
Canine experience in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Along with a permanent kennel facility homing its in-country canines, SafeLane Global has provided EDD and patrol explosive detection dogs (PEDD) teams for several years to clients throughout KRI.
The EDDs provide a further level of security to all deployed locations, particularly at potential areas where improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other explosive threats may be present, for example entry control points of sites.
This extra element to explosive detection to established security procedures provides SafeLane Global clients with the high assurance that its professional trained explosive detection dog teams will be able to identify and escalate any potential threats.
