Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant who will be responsible for the financial aspects of Project Control and demonstrates a detail-oriented approach to undertaking all aspects of their function. In addition to project accounting, the management accountant supports maintenance of the company’s international financial ledgers. The Management Accountant collaborates closely with Operations Managers, Project Executives, and on-site Project Teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly Management Accounts for the individual projects, adhering to strict deadlines
• Execution of Project Financial Controls on Cash Management and Expenditure.
• Support for the completion of the monthly funding cycle including reconciliation of field floats and communication to overseas bank accounts.
• Ad hoc analysis of Project Scenarios.
• Providing Financial Support as part of a team in the creation of Project Bids;
• Creating and assisting with Project forecasting and planning.
• Supporting the completion of the monthly contractor payroll.
• Collation of compliant local tax filings (direct and indirect) and associated reporting
• Ownership of Project Portfolio, including budgets and forecasts.
• Reporting of Project Performance including Actual and Forecast vs Budget.
• Reconciliation of Project and corporate Balance Sheet accounts
• Bank and field float reconciliations.
• Maintain cashflows ensuring in-country cash requirements are understood and approved in line with the company’s delegation of authority matrix.
• Liaise with external auditors.
• Continuous Development and improvements of financial processes in support of the above activities.
• Creation of Control Spreadsheets and reconciliations to support Operations Project Analysis.
• Month end Management Account collation, analysis and review
• Ad hoc tasks to support Finance and Operations.

Qualifications & Experience: 

Qualified or studying towards formal accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA equivalent)

Key Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficiency in finance systems (experience with Access Dimensions is desirable but not essential)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work efficiently and meet strict deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
