Non-intrusive marine survey in Liverpool
SafeLane is carrying out a non-intrusive marine survey in the River Mersey in Liverpool ahead of extensions to an existing ferry port.
SafeLane's marine team has had a busy start to the new year already. They spent last week preparing to conduct non-intrusive marine surveys for a regular client and are now on site in Liverpool.
Having carried out hundreds of similar non-intrusive marine surveys all over the world, the team was contracted to survey for potential unexploded ordnance (UXO) ahead of ferry port extension works.

The surveys are being carried out prior to construction activities for the extension of an existing ferry terminal on the River Mersey.
Chas Reid, Director of Marine Services at SafeLane said: "this is an interesting job for a highly valued client and as a team we were delighted that our significant international experience surveying for ports and terminals made us the first choice in this instance."
In terms of the work being conducted, Ryan Prophet, SafeLane's Marine Project Manager explained that it's a standard side scan and magnetometer survey.
